Join us every Wednesday evening, 7:30 o’clock, for an informal prayer service. Our “Mid-Week” service is a time of singing, learning and praying. This smaller gathering gives people time to share personal prayer requests and lift up specific praises.
Mid-Week starts out with the singing of hymns. Anyone can select any two verses of any hymn they choose. Following the singing is an informal time of review of the previous Sunday’s sermon. Anyone is welcome to ask questions or offer comments or insights into the sermon subject matter, or related topics.
Prayer time is a time where anyone can ask prayer for themselves or others, or offer praises to the LORD for His blessings. Individuals will then take turns praying for certain portions of the prayers listed.
It is one of our biggest responsibilities as Christians to pray, both individually and corporately, for ourselves, others, Christ’s church, the civil government, and world events. The mid-week prayer service has largely disappeared in America today. Stratford Presbyterian Church is committed to staying faithful to this Christian duty.
Childcare is not available during the mid-week service, however, children are still welcome to come. The informal nature of the mid-week service is just the right environment for them.
